When you join a game and are the squad leader cold there be a prompt? Perhaps where it says "stand by... Triage in the area", it could say "YOU are the squad leader, issue orders". Also when you join a game itll say who your squad leader is.

Worded much better in here then in my post... Since you can "Rally" naywhere on the map I usally just Rally in the direction of the objective I'm heading.
